notes on monotype

It is always the light and the shadows that I remember most about any location. The spaces in-between is my inspiration.
Its elusive quality can transform a figure or a landscape in just a matter of seconds. I strive to convey that sense of place by capturing its fleeting magic. When my mind is cluttered with imagery, I turn to monotype: it is fast and satisfactory. As a method, monotype allows me to quickly express my ideas without the distractions
